Moore Machine - Used CNC jig borers, jig grinders, and accessories made by Moore

Moore Tool manufactures a jig grinding machines and accessories, ranging from basic manual machines to fully automated Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines. They also manufacture a complete line of accessories, including grinding spindles, rotary tables, flood coolant enclosures, setup tooling and fixturing. The jig grinding machines are available from 500 x 300 mm to 1600 x 1100 mm.

The Moore Tool Company was founded in 1924. Their founder was Richard F. Moore who originally ran a tool & die company. In the early years, Moore Tool developed a jig borer for his work making parts to close tolerances. These machines were the first to utilize the famous Moore lead screw and double-vee construction.

In the 1940’s, Moore Tool Company added the jig grinder for grinding hardened steel components and measuring machines to their product line.

In 1994, the Moore Tool Company was acquired and became part of the PMT Group, which today includes Producto Corporation. In 1997, Moore Nanotechnology Systems LLC was formed as a subsidiary to the Moore Tool Company. Nanotechnology Systems is dedicated to the development of ultra-precision machining systems for the electro-optics, photonics, semiconductor, and hard disk drive industries.

Moore Tool has approximately 225 employees and has offices in Bridgeport, Connecticut. They sell internationally to Europe and Asia.
